Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park in northern Tanzania is a small but diverse park known for its stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. Covering an area of approximately 137 square kilometers, the park offers an impressive variety of habitats, including dense forests, vast grasslands, and the impressive Mount Meru, Tanzania's second-highest mountain. The park is home to a wide variety of animals, including giraffes, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and numerous monkey species, such as the black-and-white colobus monkey.


Birdwatchers will also find plenty to enjoy, as over 400 species of birds have been spotted in the park. Arusha National Park is particularly famous for Lake Momella, where flamingos and other waterfowl can be seen. The park is located only about 25 kilometers from Arusha and is therefore easily accessible, making it a popular destination for day trips.
