Mikumi National Park

Mikumi National Park in Tanzania, covering approximately 3,230 square kilometers, is the country's fourth-largest national park. It is located in southern Tanzania, about 283 km west of Dar es Salaam, and is part of the larger Nyerere (formerly Selous) ecosystem. The park is known for its open savannah landscape, reminiscent of the Serengeti, and offers abundant wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and various antelope species.

Mikumi is also a paradise for bird lovers, with over 400 bird species, including rare and endemic species. Due to its proximity to Dar es Salaam and its well-developed infrastructure, Mikumi National Park is a popular safari destination, offering unforgettable wildlife experiences for both beginners and experienced safari-goers.
