The Serengeti is most famous for the world's largest wildebeest migration. This is one of the most impressive natural spectacles on earth. Every year, millions of wildebeest, accompanied by tens of thousands of zebras and gazelles, embark on an epic migration across the endless plains of the Serengeti in Tanzania. This migration is characterized by a search for fresh grass and water and takes the herds on a round trip of over 1,000 kilometers through the Serengeti ecosystem and into the neighboring Masai Mara in Kenya. The wildebeest migration is an awe-inspiring spectacle characterized by dramatic scenes as the huge herds cross rivers, predators lurk, and the landscape transforms into one endless movement. This annual event is not only a spectacle for animal lovers and photographers, but also an important ecological phenomenon that supports the cycle of life in the Serengeti and plays a key role in the region's ecosystem.

Wake up every day to the morning song of the birds (also known as the birdwatch). Numerous unforgettable animal encounters, both large and small, await you. While large mammals like elephants, lions, giraffes, and hippos are certainly among the highlights of a safari, don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for smaller animals like lizards and birds.
